Jasper

As fate would have it, the kitten LJ rescued from the sewer drain, lived. Of course he had help from the Vet. He is about 6-7 weeks old and purrs like a motor. Having nowhere else to store him, I agreed to let him sleep on my back porch, as long as he stayed in his cage. He needs a home.......anyone's but mine. LJ and Bill said they would look after him....you know, feed, H2O and scoop poop, until a deserving family begged to adopt him. Just let me know and he is yours!!

cataract surgery

Just wanted you to know that I had cataract surgery last week. It was not as bad as I had envisioned. Of course, my point of reference was lying on my back 3 weeks with sand bags by my head. We've come a long way in the treatment of a lot of things! I sure am glad! If all goes well I will have the other eye done in about 2-3 weeks. Right now, my vision is very good in my operated eye--20-25, which means I see farsighted in one eye and nearsighted in the other. This sometimes affects my gait and I feel as though I am stumbling. I am constantly pulling my glasses on and off to try to see better.
